Working with the Rangers at Tawd Valley Park

On 27th November, Pupil Parliament went along to Manfield Allotments to get involved with the development of the Tawd Valley Park, with Dan Massey who is the Head Ranger for the West Lancashire Borough Council.

The latest phase of the development is the New Orchard which involved planting a hedge and fruit trees. The children planted new fruit trees and the date linked with National Tree Week. They braved the rain and wind and had a great experience digging and planting the trees and bulbs. The Mayor came along to see the work the children had carried out over the afternoon and was impressed with their efforts.
