Meet the Teacher
Welcome to Year 3! My name is Mrs Dibben and I am delighted to be your child’s teacher this year.
A little bit about me: I am from the South originally and grew up in Watford but have lived in Skelmersdale for over 20 years now. I studied Primary Teaching at York St John University and graduated with a BA (Hons) with QTS, specialising in English. I have been teaching at Hillside since 2004, having taught Nursery, Y2, Y3 and Y4 in that time.
My favourite food is either salt and pepper chicken or king prawn linguine, I can't decide! I have 2 daughters and one of them is named after one of my favourite colours - I'll let you have a guess at what it could be! I have a lovely 8 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel called Ruby who loves to sleep and have cuddles.
Year 3 is an exciting step as the children move into Key Stage 2, bringing new opportunities, challenges and lots of learning. In our classroom, I aim to create a fun, positive and supportive environment where every child feels confident to try their best, ask questions and enjoy their learning.
We will be working hard, celebrating successes and continuing to build independence and resilience throughout the year. I am very much looking forward to working in partnership with you to support your child as they grow and thrive in Year 3!
