Key Information

PE:

Year 4  have swimming on Mondays and PE on Fridays. 

Spellings:

Spellings will be set on a Friday and tested the following Friday. Spelling lists and scores will be posted on Seesaw. Please practise your child’s spellings at home regularly.

Reading:

Children are expected to read a minimum of three times per week, with an adult signing their reading record. A member of staff will check this has been done on a Friday with children who do this being rewarded with 5 dojo points and a Caught Reading Cafe voucher to spend at the end of each half term. Extra reading can be completed through Bug Club. 

Times Tables:

Throughout year 4 we do a lot of work and preperation for the Multiplication Tables Check in June. Your child will be set times tables homework weekly,  through Times Table Rockstarts. In school children will also be practicing using Hit the Button, Daily 10 and Times Table Checker. All which are free for you to access with your child at home.
