Meet the Teacher
Welcome to year 5! My name is Miss Stone and I am so happy to be your child's teacher this year.
To introduce myself: I have worked as a teacher at Hillside Community Primary School since 2021. I love the excitement and wonder teaching brings. In my classroom, you can expect a supportive, positive and engaging environment where everyone is encouraged to try their best and share their ideas.
Outside of school, I love listening to audiobooks, attending concerts and going on walks in the countryside - anything that lets me relax and explore new experiences. I also have a beautiful, grey striped cat - but I'm also a big dog lover!
Year 5 is an exciting and important year where children are encouraged to push themselves further in their learning. They will be given more responsibility and are expected to develop greater independence, both in their work and in how they organise themselves. This is a key year where confidence grows, challenges increase and pupils begin to take more ownership of their progress. I look forward to supporting year 5 every step of the way.
