Meet the Teacher
Hello and welcome to Year 6! My name is Mrs Lane and I am delighted to be your child’s teacher this year.
A bit about me: I have taught at Hillside since 2017 and have been in Year 6 for all that time. My favourite food is Italian but I do love an Indian too. I have a little boy and a very speedy whippet called Ted and as a family we love spending time outside together, collecting sticks and making lots of noise.
Year 6 is an exciting and important time, filled with challenge, growth and preparation for the transition to secondary school. In our classroom, I aim to create a positive, supportive environment where every child feels confident to try their best, ask questions and take pride in their learning. We will be working hard, celebrating successes and developing independence along the way. I am very much looking forward to working in partnership with you to support your child through their final year of primary school.
